Last weekend, if you were paying any attention to the pinball community you might have noticed there were a lot of people playing, streaming, watching, and talking about competitive pinball. This is because of the annual IFPA North American Championship Series and the Women's North American Championship Series.

For the uninitiated, most competitive pinball events in the world are sanctioned by an organization called the IFPA (International Flipper Pinball Association). As players compete throughout the year in IFPA sanctioned pinball tournaments, they earn points (WPPRs). In North America (and elsewhere), WPPR earnings are tracked for each participating State/Province and at the end of the year, top players are invited to participate in State/Provincial finals. Winners of these tournaments then qualify for a spot in the coveted North American Pinball Championship for a chance at eternal pinball glory.

It's a pretty big deal in the community, one that a lot of players work exceptionally hard to obtain.

If you tuned into Twitch at all last weekend, you were likely greeted with an explosion of regional pinball streamers all showcasing their own local tournaments -- for someone who enjoys watching tournament streams it's often one of my favorite weekends of the year.

However, it can be difficult to find all the winners of these tournaments after-the-fact, so I was happy to stumble upon a crowd-sourced effort from some folks in the IFPA community documenting the the winners. For ease of reference, I'm republishing the list of winners here.

Congrats to all the victorious competitors!
