Pinball Brothers was formed from the ashes of Heighway Pinball, which rose to prominence with its Alien-themed pinball machine. The Heighway version of the table was plagued by production and quality issues, eventually forcing Heighway Pinball out of business before finishing production. As original investors behind Heighway, Pinball Brothers was formed to take over Heighway's assets and resume production of the Alien game. In 2021, Pinball Brothers announced Queen, as the follow-up to Alien. Pinball Brothers recently announced plans to join forces with Pedretti Gaming, their long-time production partner, which is based out of Italy. This should lead to wider game availability and general production improvements.

About Pinball Brothers
Pinball Brothers is a European pinball manufacturer founded in 2018 by a team of investors and enthusiasts who were previously involved with Heighway Pinball, a UK-based company led by Andrew Heighway. Their corporate presence spans several European locations, with key personnel bringing experience in engineering, design, and distribution. Although relatively new, Pinball Brothers has quickly gained attention for their efforts to revive and enhance projects inherited from Heighway Pinball, notably the “Alien” pinball machine.
Heighway Pinball itself was established in 2012 in Wales and garnered recognition for “Full Throttle” (2015) and the original “Alien” (2017). However, financial and operational setbacks led to the company’s closure in 2018, prompting a group of investors and staff to form Pinball Brothers as a continuation of that legacy. In 2021, Pinball Brothers released an upgraded version of “Alien,” showcasing refined mechanics and updated technology that sought to address the issues in the Heighway-built model. Subsequent titles, including 2022’s “Queen – Live in Concert,” expanded their range of licensed themes and further bolstered their market position.
As of 2025, Pinball Brothers remains active and works closely with manufacturing partners to develop new titles while refining existing designs for collectors and enthusiasts worldwide. Their evolution from the remnants of Heighway Pinball underscores both the challenges and opportunities in modern pinball production, as they balance established design elements with fresh innovations to secure a lasting place in the industry.
